Elixir

Elixir is a video game in the action genre and published by Superior Software Ltd. originally released in 1987. It is currently playable on BBC Micro.

Elixir is a platform game in which the player controls Cyril, a chemist who ingests a powerful reducing agent that causes him to shrink to the size of a bottle of aspirin. Now Cyril has to search his pharmacy for a Elixir that can return him to his normal size, if he can reach it.

The pharmacy is full of shelves loaded with bottles, boxes, pills and potions, and the game is about finding a route between them by walking, climbing and jumping. You also have to solve some puzzles that consist of collecting objects that are then automatically applied in the right position. Before reaching the Elixir Cyril has to first collect 40 red vitamin pills found around the store. You can also pick up pills of other colors that will have different effects on Cyril. The cyan and magenta pills reduce speed, while the blue ones increase it. Yellow ones are fatal and should be avoided, while green ones will cause Cyril to fall off platforms. Other things to avoid are various moving objects, such as flash bulbs and lipstick missiles, as well as dripping acid and oil.

It is possible that we have multiple downloads available when different versions exist.
