Enforcer: Fullmetal Megablaster is a typical side-scrolling shooter. You drive your ship through various scenarios and destroy or dodge everything that gets in your way. Since the game is very fast-paced and the number of simultaneous enemies on screen very high, your ship is not destroyed with a single collision, but has an energy bar. Shooting certain objects reveals different items and power-ups. These include: a scatter shot, a laser, a secondary weapon that shoots reflective laser beams in four directions, smart bombs, health boosters, shields and options. Options surround your ship to give you additional protection and firepower. Smart bombs damage or destroy everything on the screen, while holding down the fire button will charge up a particularly powerful shot. At the end of each stage, the obligatory boss fight awaits you.
