Euro Soccer

Euro Soccer is a video game in the sports genre developed by Flair Software Ltd. and published by Flair Software Ltd. originally released in 1992. It is currently playable on DOS, Amiga.

Eurosoccer is a mediocre soccer game from Flair. The game lets you manage one of Europe's top clubs in a friendly match or tournament mode. Aside from the extensive roster of teams and players, there's not much to distinguish this game from the likes of Manchester United.

One positive aspect of the game - and one that is unusual for 1980s soccer titles - is the good animation of the players on the field. The players are much larger than average, so it's easy to tell what they're doing. But as Sensible Soccer demonstrates, realistic player animation can't beat ease of control and varieties of gameplay, and in this respect Eurosoccer falls far short.

Try as I might, I couldn't get a curling ball out in the game, and even volleying the ball is very difficult to execute with the cumbersome interface and imprecise controls - good luck pulling off fancy shots like the bicycle kick. To be avoided.
