Description Frenetic

Earth has been under siege for centuries by evil aliens from the planet MOZONE. The planet cannot be saved - it is time to find a new home for mankind. A heavily armed ship is sent to explore such a place - naturally, many MOZONE ships get in the way.

Frenetic is a traditional vertical scrolling shoot'em'up. The action takes place over eight levels, set both in space and on earth (with environments such as a jungle planet and a water world). Although most of the levels are technologically themed, some feature enemies and organic backgrounds, reminiscent of games like R-Type or Xenon 2. In keeping with tradition, each level has a huge final boss.

The player's ship can pick up a variety of power-ups: lasers and missiles, which fire to the front, back or sides. Speed and shield power-ups are also available. Power-ups are revealed by destroying certain enemies or special bonus capsules, and several are given to the player for free at the start of a level. Weapons can be upgraded by collecting the same power-up multiple times.

The game features a two-player mode, with two ships battling aliens at the same time.
