Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters is a video game in the action genre developed by Compile and published by SEGA of America, Inc. originally released in 1990. It is currently playable on Genesis.

Set after the events of the first film, Sega's 'Ghostbusters' follows the further adventures of Peter, Ray and Egon as they make their way through six cases in an attempt to reconstruct a mysterious stone tablet.

Completely different from Activision's title of the same name, Genesis' 'Ghostbusters' is a side-scrolling platformer in which the boys in gray race through houses, apartments, a burning house and a skyscraper to boot, while battling a myriad of ghosts with their proton cannons. When the Ghostbusters are confronted by a boss ghost, they have a chance to catch them the old-fashioned way.

Peter, Ray and Egon have different abilities and can buy weapon and life upgrades in the level stores. Other familiar faces make an appearance, as Slimer offers power-ups, and the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man returns to settle scores from the movie.

Solve the mystery of the tablet, and the Ghostbusters will have to face Jenna, the Goddess of Death and Destruction. Can the boys save New York once again?
