Description Growth
Growth is an arcade game that loosely extends the Arkanoid principle, shifting the focus from the classic ball and bat scheme more on the extra weapon of Arkanoid's shooting bat and just adding the ball as a bonus.
The player controls the bat and can not only move it at the bottom of the screen, but also around the edges of the screen, so you can move it to the left, right and top of the screen as well. The bat has shooting abilities by default, which is very necessary, as the eye in the center of the screen is constantly making new stones appear on the playing field. You lose a life if the growing stone formation reaches any edge. The goal in most levels is simply to destroy the eye in the center of the screen, which can be accomplished by shooting through the stones until you can hit the eye itself while controlling the expansion of the stones.
There are some levels in which there is a ball, which can also be used to destroy the stones and is played as in any Breakout type game. Some additional levels are shoot-'em-up style: formations of moving enemies approach and the player has to shoot them to keep moving forward.
