Guzzle

Guzzle is a video game in the strategy genre developed by BSX International and published by BSX International originally released in 1989. It is currently playable on DOS.

Guzzle is an American shareware quiz/drinking game for up to four players/teams.

The screen is divided horizontally into two areas. The bottom three-quarters is the game area and the top banner shows whose turn it is, as well as actions, questions and messages. The game is controlled with the mouse and the cursor is trapped in small input boxes. It is a computerized board game in which players/teams roll a virtual die and perform actions depending on the square they land on, if the player lands on a DRINK square then they must take the specified number of drinks, a GIVE square, then has another player take the specified number of drinks from him, DETOX MANSION takes the player out of the game until he rolls a six or a three, which is a nasty piece of game design because a three means the runaway takes a drink and a six leaves him in the Guzzle square. While in DETOX MANSION a player cannot receive drinks from other players Guzzle if any player lands on this square then all players not in DETOX MANSION must take a drink. - This is where the player must answer a trivia question. If the answer is correct, he can give a drink to another player; otherwise, he must take a drink himself. Giving a drink and Taking a drink refer to physically drinking alcohol and the instructions warn that drinking a drink or two when prompted is NOT recommended.
The game ends when one of the players has had enough and EXITS the game, at which point the winner is the player with the lowest score, the person still in control of their faculties, and anyone who wakes up covered in vomit, not necessarily their own, is considered the loser.
