Hangman is a video game in the puzzle genre developed by Atari, Inc. and published by Atari, Inc. originally released in 1978. It is currently playable on Atari 2600.
Hangman is an electronic version of the Hangman game! The object of the game is to solve a computer-generated word by guessing one letter at a time. If you guess the correct letter, it will appear in the correct place on the screen, but if you guess a letter that is not in the word, you are one step closer to being hanged. If you guess wrong 11 times, the game is over. If you guess wrong 11 times, the game is over. 1 point is awarded for each completed word. There are several levels of difficulty, depending on the number of letters in the word. The game can be played by one or two players, and in two-player mode, one player can optionally create the word instead of the computer.
