Ilyad is a side-scrolling shooter with large sprites. The objective is to control a spaceship and defeat all enemies. A sinister villain named Baron Arkhon has upset the temporal space balance of the galaxy. You must destroy his base and establish the temporal balance in four different eras (destinies): Creation, Prehistory, Antiquity and Middle Ages. Finally, you must enter Alcon's fortress and destroy the infernal time machine generator. You will get 14 different power-ups, including speed reduction/increase and various shooting upgrades. The most effective are the triple shots like Bustar, Doolyx, Jaxtorys, Leitun or Kyus. At the end of the stage, a huge sprite-laden mousetrap will appear that will require a lot of shooting. Iliad has a very effective soundtrack.
