International Soccer

International Soccer is a video game in the sports genre and published by Commodore Business Machines, Inc originally released in 1983. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

International Soccer is an arcade action soccer game. There are no league or cup tournaments available, only friendly matches (2 halves at 200 seconds) against a human or AI opponent (9 difficulty levels are offered). There are corner kicks and throw-ins, but no fouls can be taken, so no yellow or red cards are required. The game is played with the joystick; with it you control the player of your team (7 against 7) next to the ball (your teammates will be controlled by the AI). Press the fire button to pass or shoot, you can move in all eight directions.

You only see a quarter of the playing area on the screen, which automatically scrolls to the left or right. If the ball approaches your own goal, you will have automatic control of your goalkeeper, in the hope that you can make a brilliant save: after a save, the goalkeeper needs some time to get back into action, be quick enough to help him with your teammates.
