Description Keef the Thief: A Boy and His Lockpick
Play as Keef the thief, a promising young thief on the outskirts of the merchant city of Mercon. Considering that the penalty for stealing is the removal of certain body parts, our young hero must be careful in his profession and ultimately (among other things) train himself to access and steal from the city's treasury.
Keef the Thief: A Boy and His Lockpick is a first-person perspective role-playing game. It has elements of parody, clearly identifiable by various in-game descriptions and the names of enemies during combat. One of the objectives of the game is to steal everything in sight, at least in the city. The game map includes, in addition to the city, several dungeons, jungles and an arena, among others.
The game introduces four vital gameplay elements: thievery, adventure, combat and alchemy.
The thief element is based on the ability to disarm traps so that the player can loot treasure. There are many houses or other places where the player can steal valuable items (at least within the city walls). The higher the skill, the more options the player has to choose the right way to disarm a trap.
Venturing
When the player has stolen everything valuable, from underwear to gold crowns, from the city, eventually the player will have to venture out of the city into the unknown depths of the surrounding jungle. There are many places yet to be discovered in the game. Make sure you are well equipped with armor and weapons. Monsters have a nasty habit of showing up, almost all the time!
Combat
The real-time first-person combat setup is complete with a top-down radar that indicates the position of the player and enemies. On the combat screen, the player can either melee fight them to victory or simply shoot them from a distance. That is if the player has the appropriate weapons available.
Alchemy
For the most part this is alchemy, although magic spells are also created through this process. Collecting ingredients is one thing, experimenting with what works is another. Sometimes the player can get lucky and find a recipe. Sometimes.
