Kishin Dōji Zenki

Kishin Dōji Zenki is a video game in the action genre developed by SEGA Enterprises Ltd. and published by SEGA Enterprises Ltd. originally released in 1995. It is currently playable on Game Gear.

Kishin Dōji Zenki is based on a television series and anime. With the help of a demonic spirit, Enno's temple master Enno Ozuno was able to defeat the demon goddess Karuma centuries ago. In the present day, this demonic spirit, named Zenki, appears again, having been sealed in a pillar by Enno Ozuno - Zenki was released by Ozuno's modern-day descendant, a schoolgirl named Chiaki Enno. However, Zenki is only in the form of a rude boy, and Chiaki can only transform him into a useful form using a magic bracelet. Together, Zenki and Chiaki must avoid the threat caused by Karuma's seeds, which have begun to appear and transform people into monsters.

The game is a platformer that lets you control either Chiaki or Zenki, both of whom have different abilities. While Chiaki can break rocks with his powers to clear the path and search for power ups, Zenki has a spinning attack. Just like in Sega's Asterix games, at the beginning of each level you choose which character you want to play with. In addition, you can leave the level to choose the other one. For boss fights, the game switches to a different mode reminiscent of one-on-one fighting games, in which Zenki takes on the opponent in a more powerful way.
