Krypton

Krypton is a video game in the action genre and published by ACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment) originally released in 1984. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

Krypton is a side-view horizontal scrolling shooter in which you control a Superhero as the screen scrolls from left to right constantly, while trying to save Earth from the attack of the Superbugs throughout various levels. You've crashed in a space shuttle on Earth after a trip from your home planet, but instead of feeling sorry for yourself, you like living here and so you've vowed to protect your adopted planet from any threats armed with lasers fired from your eyes.

One such threat has appeared in the form of Superbugs who seek to destroy you and Earth using your weakness, Krypton. You must move around the screen shooting at the beings that throw Krypton at you while avoiding missiles and more Krypton fired upward from a Ground Control Pod. If you hit a being, a Krypton, a missile or the Pod, you lose one of the three lives. Occasionally the border will turn blue and this means that your girlfriend is falling from a skyscraper. You must rescue her before she falls to the ground.
