One of Jeff Minter's early eighties shoot'em'ups with his typical frantic style, Laser Zone has you controlling not one, but two 'zone gunners' in a limited playing field. Controlled with a single joystick, you move one zone gunner on a vertical wall and another on the bottom. Wave after wave of bugs enter the zone, and you have to shoot them down before they reach either wall, where none of the guns can reach them and they advance towards you. You can try to perpetually run away, as your movements go around the edges of the screen, at least until another enemy has reached your wall, but it is better to use one of your electro bolts which will erase everything on the screen.
