Legionnaire is a run-and-gun game based on the arcade game Commando in which your mission is to reach Garrison HQ across seven different landscapes to deliver vital messages. The game is viewed from a third person perspective at a high angle with the screen scrolling upwards as you move. As you progress across the screen various soldiers will appear that you must dodge or shoot with your weapon because if you touch one or get shot you will lose one of five lives. To make the task more difficult there are several obstacles to avoid, such as walls, trees and water.
