Italian Mario Andretti is one of the most successful racing drivers in the American racing scene, and five of his family members have also raced professionally. This game lets you try Indy cars, stock cars and sprint cars, all of which have been graced by Andrettis. The physics are tailored to each, so you can expect the sprint cars to slide on the dirt tracks, and the sliding effect is detectable.
There are 27 computer controlled cars with individual profiles, and 8 cars to choose from in each race, with different standards of engine, grip, brakes and pit crew. You can watch the action from behind the car or from the nose. In the longer races you will need to keep an eye on pit strategy, with the options of a 'splash 'n' dash' stop if your tires are still good.
