Micro Mouse

Micro Mouse is a video game in the action genre developed by M.C. Lothlorien Ltd and published by Mastertronic plus originally released in 1989. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

Micro Mouse is a top-view maze game in which the screen scrolls up or down as you move a robot to repair the circuitry of a supercomputer. The powers that be who own the computer consider it a waste of time to send skilled engineers to solder broken circuit parts when small robots containing a cyberbrain can do the job themselves. You have been tasked with training a mouse-like robot by manually moving it around the circuit, repairing broken sections so that it learns the job at hand. To repair a broken section you must move over one of several red crosses containing welding tracks with a certain shape of track that appears below the play area. If you don't need the track with that shape, move over the cross again until the track you need appears.

Once you are satisfied with the track, you move to a broken part of the track and press the fire button. Next, you have to go back to the cross to pick up another clue to repair another broken part of the track. To make the job more interesting, several droids have been placed that move around the tracks and you have to avoid them or the mouse loses part of a damage meter and when it is empty you lose one of the five lives. Another meter shows which part of the circuit is broken and when a part is repaired it decreases, but certain droids will break the circuit, so it will decrease. Once the broken circuit meter is empty before a time limit reaches zero, then you can move on to the next part of the computer to a new broken circuit.
