Description Monsters of Murdac
Monsters of Murdac is a commercial adaptation of a game entitled 'Murdac', first implemented on the Cambridge University Phoenix computer (mainframe IBM System/370) in the early 1980s. This text adventure draws you into the isolated forest of Murdac: wild and inscrutable, always beyond the boundaries of your village, but never divulging its secrets.
One day, after a meeting with the village sage, the witch performs a divination and declares that the time has come for you to enter the Murdac. Listening to the old woman's whispers about demons, cannibals, manticores and so on, you follow her instructions, perform a ritual to open a path through the trees and enter the forest.
This game was later re-released in a double pack with Topologica's Avon.
