Description Professional Footballer

Professional Footballer is a soccer management game in which instead of managing a team, you manage a player's career in the four main English leagues, cups and European soccer. You first select your position, defender, attacker or striker before choosing your nationality and the starting year of your career. After your choices you are presented with the main menu with many options, but only a small number affect your game. You are randomly chosen a team to play for and you start in the second team as a substitute and your goal is to make it to the first team and become a star player. You have the possibility to talk to the coach to change your position or get on the transfer list.

You have to train twice a week and each training session consists of two questions and four answers for each question about your reaction to certain situations in a match. Each answer has a percentage chance of the move being successful and how many stars you receive if you get it right, and you must answer before a timer bar empties. A successful play gives you the stars and a bar with a danger of sub, consistently, has the stars underneath. To come off the subs bench you need the stars on the consistent part of the bar and to move to the first team you need the stars on the star player part of the bar. Failed moves cause you to lose stars.

Once you are satisfied with your choices, you will move on to the next match, which is text only and where any major incidents will appear as they occur. As in training, you have the opportunity to play the game by answering questions if you are involved in the play and you must choose an answer and hope the play succeeds. After the game the director sometimes gives feedback about you and goes to the main menu to prepare for the next game.
