Rescue Terra I is a video game in the action genre developed by VentureVision and published by VentureVision originally released in 1982. It is currently playable on Atari 2600.
Zember crystals supplied to Earth by Terra Eye are used to provide 72% of Earth's power. Normally, computers control the defense systems, but it appears that they have been sabotaged. Space pirates have been detected, and the robot interceptors are working against us. Your orders are to fly your F-117 Star Warrior to Terra I and destroy anything that tries to harm you.
You can move your ship up and down, left and right. You start with the F-117 at the top, looking down on the screen. Meteors and later space pirates will come moving from the bottom and you will have to shoot them. Once you get past this, you will switch to the side view of the aircraft, and you will be looking left and right. An interceptor robot will come from the side and you must destroy it. Next, a fish force field (yes, a fish force field) will come from above and move down, and you must shoot at the fish-shaped device to destroy it. This is the last line of defense of Terra I. If you get through it, you win the game.
In a two-player game, player 1 controls the left and right movement of the F-117, while player 2 controls the up and down movement, so cooperation between players is necessary. Shots are fired alternately at two-second intervals.
