Residence 44 Quest

Residence 44 Quest is a video game in the adventure genre developed by 44-productions and published by 44-productions originally released in 1999. It is currently playable on DOS.

Residence 44 Quest is a graphic adventure game created by two students at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands, who based the game's setting on their own experiences at the university. The player takes the role of a first-year student who, at the beginning of the game, arrives by bicycle to live with several fellow students in a residential block. Your first task is to get them to let you into the building, which seems simple enough but requires some persistence. Next, you have to climb the stairs, introduce yourself to each of your flatmates and settle in to life in Residence 44.

The main character is controlled directly with the cursor keys to walk in the four main directions, and the player can also type commands. It is often necessary to approach an object in order to interact with it.

The game was first created in Dutch and then translated into English, but the English version is also edited with some response texts removed rather than translated.
