Sentinel is a video game in the action genre developed by Atari Corporation and published by Atari Corporation originally released in 1990. It is currently playable on Atari 2600.
Sentinel is a side-scrolling action game. Several worlds have fallen victim to an alien attack and you must free them. To do this, you are sent glowing orbs called Sentinels that can absorb the aliens' energy. The Sentinels float above the various scrolling landscapes, and you must use your light gun to destroy the enemies and protect the Sentinels from enemy attacks. If you do not defeat the enemies, the sentry's energy will run out and it will eventually be destroyed. There are four difficulty levels, each with a big boss at the end. Shoot the bonus capsules to increase your firepower and energy. There are three difficulty levels.
