Slot Racers is a video game in the action genre developed by Atari, Inc. and published by Atari, Inc. originally released in 1978. It is currently playable on Atari 2600.
This is a two-player home video game in which the objective is to move your car through a maze and avoid your opponent firing missiles at you.
In this game, you can choose from four different mazes, and some 'levels' are faster or slower than others. Some also make the missiles go faster or slower than the car, and others stop the missiles when they hit a wall. The difficulty switch determines whether or not you can fire your missile while it is still on the screen. If not, the next missile cannot be fired until the missile hits an enemy or is recovered by your vehicle.
Control is done with the joystick. Each time you hit an enemy with a missile, you score one point. The first player to score 25 points is the winner.
