Space Sweep & Invaders

Space Sweep & Invaders is a video game in the action genre and published by Commodore Business Machines (UK) Ltd. originally released in 1984. It is currently playable on Commodore 16, Plus/4.

Space Sweep & Invaders is a double game pack containing the following games:

Space Sweep: You are a space sweeper named Alpha-Man whose job is to destroy all the spy satellites in your galaxy placed by the Leutians. The game is a side view horizontal scrolling shooter in which the screen scrolls left or right constantly when you move, but you can scroll the screen up or down. You must shoot all the satellites while avoiding various objects that are static or moving around the screen and if you hit one you lose one of five lives. As you fly and shoot, the fuel gauge decreases and when it reaches the red part you must refuel by docking with your mothership, which appears when you are low on fuel.

Invaders: A side-screen shooter based on Space Invaders in which you control a ship at the bottom of the screen, moving left or right, to blow up aliens in formation who are dropping bombs. The aliens move across the screen to the right and when they touch the side of the screen then move down one place and move to the left. Between you and the aliens are four shields that protect you from the bombs, but they will start to disappear in the face of the bombs and your shots. If you are hit by a bomb or allow the aliens to land, you will lose one of your three lives. A mothership occasionally moves across the top of the screen, and if you shoot it, it gives you extra points. There are 9 skill levels (1-9), with one being the easiest.
