Sub Mission

Sub Mission is a video game in the action genre developed by Tom Snyder Productions, Inc. and published by Mindscape, Inc. originally released in 1986. It is currently playable on DOS, Apple II.

An evil alien warlord has kidnapped two earthlings, Peter and Sigourney. He agrees to free them only on one condition: someone must defeat him in a dangerous game that involves piloting submarines with a remote control. Who is brave enough to face this challenge? And who can take on this grave responsibility, since the destruction of the submarine entails the death of the two humans?

Sub Mission incorporates elements of underwater simulation and action. The player must keep the submarine intact, find the two kidnapped humans and bring them safely home. It is possible to assign robots as the crew of the submarine; their destruction will not automatically end the game. However, if the player fails, for example, if his submarine is destroyed, Peter and Sigourney will die. The game, in fact, deletes these characters from the disk, with only one chance to resurrect; if the player fails this chance as well, the game will definitely end, i. e. it will be impossible to play again.
