You are one of the leading scholars of 14th century France, who is sent on a special mission by the king and the pope to investigate The Abbey of Montglane. The recent fire has damaged The Abbey and burned several ancient manuscripts, so he is tasked with recovering ten treasures that could not be accounted for. However, things at The Abbey are not what they seem, the unexplained fire and the strange panic it caused are only the beginning of the mystery lurking within. . .
The Abbey is an interactive fiction medieval horror game with a simple parser and the ability to save your progress. Instead of the usual score, you are given a rank that serves as an indicator of your progress.
