Description The Muncher

In The Muncher, based on the candy product Chewits, the player takes the role of a prehistoric monster in his quest to retrieve his eggs from Japanese scouts.

In the background it's all about destroying as many houses and attackers as possible to achieve a high score. The monster has a variety of moves, depending on whether it is on the ground or climbing a building, including a limited amount of fireballs. These can be recharged by eating gasoline trucks. Another important game mechanic are the aforementioned eggs: if found, they can be taken to landfills, which are used as breeding grounds. There they basically act as extra lives. When another giant monster is encountered, the screen stops scrolling until it or the player is defeated.
