The Ormus Saga II: Guild of Death

The Ormus Saga II: Guild of Death is a video game in the role-playing (rpg) genre and published by CP Verlag originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

The Ormus saga is a lot like the first parts of the Ultima series. You live in Barryland, which has been taken over by the Ormus cult and now you have decided to do something about it. The quest begins near the town of Remfield, on the southwest coast of Barryland.

You can create your own character or just start with the already made character and when you start the game you will be near a hostile city. You have very few troops available at the beginning, so attacking at this point is useless. Around the world there are treasures you can find to fund more troops and there are also other places of interest such as temples, castles and villages to visit. Along the way you will face monsters that you can fight to gain experience and gold. The ultimate goal is to destroy the cult of Ormus in his fortress. The controls are keyboard based and a menu system is used to do things like enter a city and lay siege to it.

The Ormus saga differs from other RPGs in that it also contains troop battles during the siege of a city or castle.
