Description The Race
The Race is a top-down driving game in which the screen is constantly scrolling and your goal is to complete six different courses to become the champion. The screen is divided into two parts in which two players can drive at the same time, in one of them only you race. It's the last day of the 17th annual Terra Interplanetaria race, sponsored by the IPF, and now you try to complete the courses for the first time in the history of the competition in your 6000 SUX turbo sports car. Races are held in packed stadiums six miles from Earth in Simu - World Four, with people in their IPF Styro homes also watching.
Each race must be completed within a time limit and there are various obstacles such as barriers, flames and walls blocking your path, but there are mainly two route options through the course. You can use ramps and jumps to clear the obstacles, but you can only jump so far before landing back on the ground. You can speed up and slow down your vehicle and, if you crash, you will float in the air but at the slower speed. If you press the fire button you can land and accelerate again. Once you reach the finish line, you move on to the next course and try to complete it.
