True Lies was a highly anticipated game released for the Game Gear console in 1995. Developed by Malibu Interactive and published by Acclaim Entertainment, this game was based on the hit action movie of the same name starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. As a popular game in the mid-90s, True Lies featured intense gameplay and cutting-edge graphics that kept players on the edge of their seats.

One of the main highlights of True Lies was its fast-paced action. The game follows the story of the movie, where players take on the role of Harry Tasker, a top-secret agent on a mission to stop a terrorist group from detonating nuclear weapons. The gameplay is divided into six levels, each with its own objectives and challenges. Players must navigate through various locations, including the streets of Paris and a hijacked subway train, while facing enemies and solving puzzles to complete their mission.

The game also featured a wide array of weapons and gadgets, adding an element of excitement to the gameplay. From handguns and rifles to grenades and rocket launchers, True Lies had it all. Players could also make use of stealth tactics to sneak up on enemies and take them out silently. In addition, Harry's trusty gadget, the Laser Designator, allowed players to mark targets for airstrikes, making the action even more intense.

One of the most impressive aspects of True Lies was its graphics. The game pushed the limits of the Game Gear console, delivering detailed environments, smooth animations, and realistic character models. It was a great feat for a handheld device at the time and helped create an immersive gaming experience. The game also featured digitized voices and sound effects from the movie, adding to the overall authentic feel.

True Lies was well received by both critics and players upon its release. Many praised its faithful adaptation of the movie's plot, while others loved the challenging gameplay and impressive graphics. The game also received positive reviews for its excellent use of the Game Gear's technical capabilities and its replay value. In fact, True Lies was later ported to other consoles, including the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, solidifying its place as a top action game of the 90s.
