Description U.F.O.

U. F. O. is a single-player variation of the Space Invaders genre.

The player controls a fighter plane, a U. S. A. F. F. F21 Codor, the only plane capable of defending Earth against alien attack. The player has only four of these planes/lives with which to complete the game.

The plane can move left and right, as well as, to a limited extent, up and down. The F21 Condor has a gun with which the player must shoot at alien ships attacking Earth. However, this gun overheats and jams if it is used too much, so on the right of the game screen there is a temperature indicator that the player must control.

When all enemy ships have been eliminated from a level, the player must pilot his ship to the next level through a hypersonic air corridor to the next combat zone. Here, against a flashing background, the player must keep his ship within the confines of the corridor as it gently meanders towards the horizon.

After a successful transit, the player can spend the credits earned on their shields or energy before entering the next phase of combat.
