Description UXB
In UXB the player has the task of defusing an old unexploded war bomb. The game is menu-driven and is played with the keyboard. First, the player has to choose the right items from his toolbox. Due to the limited space in the vicinity of the bomb, he can only take six of these twelve items: wrench, copper hammer, cold chisel, special liquid, shears, stethoscope, wrench set, pliers, hydraulic jack, special wrench, duct tape and small screwdriver. If the player takes more than six items, the bomb will explode immediately. There is no way to get rid of an item, so it is necessary to choose the right ones from the beginning. Before starting work, the bomb can be examined from three points of view: side, nose and hatch.
When working on the pump, the player is presented with a menu of five options (e.g., moving the pump or unscrewing the nose cap). The player has to choose the correct option and then the right tool. If he chooses the wrong combination, the bomb will explode, while if he chooses the correct one, the player will go to the next menu (with new options) and everything will repeat until the bomb has been defused. If the player gets stuck, he can type HELP to get a hint on how to proceed. When the bomb explodes, the player has the option to restart from the last move or from the beginning.
