Wild Fire

Wild Fire is a video game in the action genre and published by Supersoft originally released in 1983. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

Alien robots are trying to burn down your city by entering buildings and setting them on fire. You are tasked with entering each building separately with fire extinguishers and extinguishing the flames started by the robots entering the building. Each building is viewed from above with the entire building on the screen. The direction you move in sprays the extinguisher over a small area and extinguishes any flames it touches. However, the flames spread too fast to be extinguished with the extinguisher alone, so you have a limited amount of firewalls that can contain the flames for a limited time.

Constant use of the extinguisher causes it to overheat and when the gauge fills up it overheats and cannot be used for a short time. You can also use the extinguisher for a limited time before it disintegrates but you have more that can be used. If you are surrounded by flames, you die and lose one of the three lives. When you have extinguished all the flames, you will move to a bonus screen where you have to run a path to score points before the time runs out. Complete the bonus screen and move on to the next building.
