Description Worm War I
Giant worms are attacking the city of Teriyaki, and the player's job is to protect it. The player commands a tank at the bottom of the screen. The tank can move left or right as it moves steadily forward. The player can control the forward speed by pressing up or down on the joystick.
When the worms move back and forth, the player must shoot them so that they do not touch the tank. Blocks in the tank's path must also be destroyed. Conversely, the fuel pagodas must be spare, as they provide fuel to the tank. The tank can go to the far left or far right of the screen and not be touched by a worm, but also cannot shoot them when it is there.
In the two-player game, players can choose between a cooperative and a competitive mode. In the cooperative mode, players share points and fuel: when one tank is refueled, they both refuel. In competitive mode, each player has a separate score and fuel count, and the two players compete by shooting enemies and reaching the fuel pagodas.
