Description Zan II: Towns Special
Zan II: Towns Special is a work in the 'Zan' series, which is mainly based on 'Zan'. It is a series of games based on 'Damsel Time'. The setting (the Warring States period of Japan) and the main game mechanics are the same. However, in this version specific scenarios from the historical period between 1550 and 1600 can be recreated. Four scenarios of varying difficulty are available.
Like the other 'Zan' games, this is a turn-based grand strategy game like Koei's 'Sangokushi' series. The player controls a ruler or general of a certain region of Japan, who rules his country while keeping the inhabitants happy, and who tries to assert himself in the struggle for supremacy through diplomacy and military actions. Battles take place on an isometric screen, and players can enter detailed orders to their armies.
