Aardvarks is a Lemmings clone, with homages to the TV series The Raccoons and Doctor Who. (a pink anteater based on the design of the Raccoons character Cyril Sneer) to the exit point (a blue cabin with a light on top that closes and disappears with a sci-fi sound effect at the end of the level). To do this, you have to assign the creature various abilities (explode, block, build, dig horizontally, dig vertically) to change the terrain, avoid obstacles and dodge hazards. Otherwise, the creature will keep walking forward until it falls off the edge or hits a wall and starts backtracking in the opposite direction. The game is controlled with the mouse; first click on the button representing one of the five skills, then click on the creature to assign that skill to it. Each level has a fixed number of available skills and a time limit. The number of skills available for each skill, the number of creatures to save and the remaining time are indicated by red and green bars.
