Mississippi has been hit by a deadly storm, leaving many sailors stranded. The player controls the more powerful SS Commodore, and must navigate these dangerous waters and rescue as many of them as possible. To do this, you must navigate through a succession of screens, each of which has a person to rescue, while avoiding rocks and static debris. The layout of the screens is random each time, so it is not always possible or safe to rescue the navigator. You start a screen in the horizontal position you exited the previous one, so a central exit maximizes your chances on the next screen. Other vessels move horizontally across the screen; contact with them results in the loss of a life. A tap on the fire button gives you a quick speed boost, useful for avoiding hazards.
