Bombscare is a video game in the action genre developed by Dollarsoft and published by Firebird Software originally released in 1985. It is currently playable on Amstrad CPC.
Special Agent Sam Short must travel around the world to disarm a bomb detonator set off by his nemesis Boris.
Bombscare is a very simple fixed screen platformer. Sam will fly around the platform chasing detonators and retrieve them one by one in 9 seconds. When a detonator is deactivated, the timer restarts in 9 seconds. When the timer reaches zero, one life is lost. When all detonators are deactivated, the level is cleared and the game continues to the next level.
