Description Galactic Plague
Galactic Plague is an alien shooting game in the vein of Space Invaders. In this version each screen has between 4 and 20 alien ships of different variety. Each variety of alien moves in a different pattern, but always downward and usually at a rate of knots, dropping bombs as it does so (often a single enemy can cover the screen with bombs, almost inevitably causing the player's death). The player-controlled ship is limited to moving along the bottom of the screen. The secret to progressing in the game was therefore to learn the patterns of the aliens and learn where to position the ship to shoot down the various hordes without being crushed by the hundreds of bombs dropped or colliding with an alien upon reaching the bottom of the screen, where it simply rolls up to reappear at the top.
The player only has three lives and many players found this game extremely difficult, if not completely impossible, after a few screens, however, the game can be completed. There are approximately 50 different screens and upon defeating the last wave of enemies, the game returns directly to screen #1.
