Description Overtake
Overtake is a first person racing game with all the teams, drivers and circuits of the 1992 Formula 1 World Championship.
There are 3 game modes available: Quick Race, Trial Race and World Championship. There is also a database with information about drivers, teams and car specifications. In the car settings menu, players can adjust their car, including front and rear spoilers, suspension, camber and gear ratios, as well as choose tires, manual or automatic gearbox and number of gears.
As for options, the game offers two difficulty levels (easy and normal), damage can be enabled or disabled, the number of cars on track in the World Championship can be set from 10 to 26, and the duration of the qualifying session (from 5 to 60 minutes) and the race (from 10% to 100%) can also be adjusted. The weather can be set as random or as that of the 1992 season. You can also choose the digital or analog tachometer and the animation for the gear change (floor or butterfly).
A two player quick race is also available which requires 2 copies of the game, two X68000 and an RS-232C cable.
