Description Striker

Striker is a fun free clone of Atari's Defender. As a helicopter pilot, your mission is to navigate through various tunnels to complete five missions of increasing difficulty. As you pilot the helicopter through a 2D side-scrolling landscape, you must contend with 5 different types of aliens, turrets, enemy missiles and other obstacles. To deal with these threats, you have two weapons at your disposal: bombs and bullets. As in Defender, you must constantly replenish your plane's fuel level by collecting the fuel canisters scattered on the ground. In addition to the fun gameplay, Striker lets you choose between 4 difficulty levels and redefine each control key to suit your preferences. You can also pause the game, turn the sound on and off and play with a joystick.

All in all, a good free game from the early days of PC gaming. Too bad the missions are over too soon and there is no random element to enhance the limited value of the game. But if you like Sopwith games and the like, you'll have fun with this game while it lasts. Recommended.
