He is called 1213, after the number of his cell, and every day he is subjected to an obstacle course to be tested by a man with glasses. One day, a door suddenly opens for unknown reasons, and 1213 escapes through it.
1213 is an action platformer with many puzzle elements. With gameplay and movement similar to Flashback and the original Prince of Persia, players must help 1213 find a way to escape. Armed with a pistol with unlimited ammunition, 1213 can move, crouch, jump, hang from ledges and shoot enemies. He can only carry one object at a time. The console includes a log that gives insight into the backstory; 1213 progresses by shooting enemies and solving various puzzles that require more thought than a normal platformer.
