Code name Hell Squad

Code name Hell Squad is a video game in the action genre developed by Classica Entertainment and published by Digital Dreams Entertainment originally released in 2000. It is currently playable on Amiga.

A young alien runs away from home and lands on our planet. He is a troubled young man and starts doing what any young man with psychic powers would do: kill and destroy. A team of four professional 'problem solvers' is sent to solve this crime.

Hellsquad is an adventure game in the Lucasfilm tradition, but with action elements and a control scheme that deviates from the typical point-and-click. Instead of setting targets with the mouse, all actions are controlled directly with the joystick or keyboard. Use the fire button to shoot enemies with your weapon. Depending on your position on the screen, you can use different objects on the screen and in your inventory, or use one object for another. 4 soldiers can be replaced at any time, and unreplaced soldiers will regain their health. Because of the shared inventory, if a character picks up an item, the captured character can use it to escape, allowing the player to investigate different scenes without having to run around.

Most of the game's graphics are hand-drawn, and the characters are rotoscoped for natural movement. A moving introductory video sets the scene. The script follows the tradition of humorous point-and-click adventure games and includes plenty of swear words to liven up the game.
